  • Established in 2009, Mehan Neuroscience Research Laboratory (MNRL) is a multidisciplinary research center dedicated to understanding the brain and nervous system and translating scientific discoveries into innovative approaches for neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders.
  • Our research focuses on neurodegenerative diseases, brain plasticity and repair, cognitive and affective neuroscience, and neurotechnology, with particular emphasis on disorders including Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s disease, Autism, OCD, and bipolar disorders.
  • MNRL fosters a culture of scientific excellence, innovation, collaboration, and interdisciplinary research, working with academic institutions, industry partners, and funding agencies to address challenging questions in neuroscience.

  • Our multidisciplinary research integrates pharmacology, neuroscience, molecular biology, psychology, and computational sciences, supported by advanced approaches such as neuroimaging, electrophysiology, molecular techniques, and computational modeling.
  • Our key research areas include drug discovery and repurposing, personalized medicine, neuroplasticity and brain repair, and the neurobiology of addiction, with a particular focus on disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s disease, Autism, OCD, and bipolar disorder.
